Hyre is a car-sharing company established in 2017 with 8 employees, launching the first version of our app in 2018 with 50 cars. Today, we are a team of 35 tech enthusiasts, and with over 1,500 cars, we’ve become the largest car-sharing service in the Nordics.
With our app, you can reserve, unlock, and pay for rental cars without having to wait in line to pick up the car. Toll charges, fuel, and rental prices are settled automatically in real-time, giving you complete visibility of all costs with just a few taps.
Our cars are always available, and we work daily to ensure we are never more than 5 minutes away from you. Our fleet is owned and operated by Hyre, giving us full control over the customer experience and ensuring you have reliable and predictable access to modern cars at low prices.

Hyre is a joint venture between Møller Mobility Group and Hyre Management, with MMG as the largest shareholder.
Cars are now connected to the internet, enabling more efficient car-sharing. Additionally, cars are now electric and will eventually become autonomous.
Cars are no longer a significant status symbol, and fewer young adults want to own a car. People want simplicity, flexibility, and freedom.
The way we move today is not sustainable. Even with electric cars, increasing urban density will force alternative solutions for personal transportation.

Development
Hyre is still a small company with a relatively small development team, so everyone has to do a bit of everything. Our developers build entirely new capabilities for customers, employees, and suppliers, while also maintaining what we've already created. This means building and maintaining both frontend and backend systems, contributing analyses, and orchestrating infrastructure and processes.
